Xcution

I have just read Bleach 431, and guess what? The plot goes on expectedly, without much depth and any reliable cliffhangers. It just goes on the way it way expected.

And also, Xcution seemed to be what many of us speculated at the first time the name appeared in the manga.

Highlight for spoilers

Start of spoilers.A group, just like Vizards in which Ichigo will join. The difference is, while the Vizards' focus is to help Ichigo control his Hollow abilities, this group aims to help Ichigo regain his Shinigami powers. As speculated, they could be a bunch of shinigamis who used the FGT and lost their shinigami powers or due to something else (experimentations? lol). End of spoilers

The reason? I don't know and this might tie eventually to Isshin's disappearance and Urahara later on.

The lack of depth in the story might be due to the manga starting off fresh with a new arc so I think (?) it is quite forgivable. And yeah, thankfully, Sado's disappearance has been mentioned! (Finally). But where the hell has Grimmjow and Neliel been off to? Their deaths were not confirmed aren't they? How I wish that they will play a quite large role in the current arc which is highly unlikely. Knowing Kubo, he might have already forgotten about them lol.

We can't tell, maybe Grimmjow will be the next Vegeta after Renji. :)

Kubo, you better not troll us in this arc.
And also, Plot Depth and Character Development PLEASE.

SCANDAL Baby

Today I'm gonna feature one of my favorite J-pop bands of all time. *Drumroll*......

SCANDAL!

I first heard of SCANDAL when I was watching Bleach and their single Shojo S was the opening song for the anime back then. Their music and their voices never failed to captivate me when I first heard them. This lead me to get to know more about them and to listen to their music even more.

SCANDAL, despite their scandalous name (which gives me severe headaches whenever I search for their PVs or pictures ._.) is an all-girl band in which all of the band members share their voices to their music while wearing seifukus. Sweet.

Another thing that I loved and still loving about SCANDAL is their genre. Whenever you feel like rocking or maybe dancing, their music shall amaze you and make you sing-along with their songs (though you don't really even know what you sing).

Rock with the right blend of pop. As the self-proclaimed "The Most Powerful Japanese Girlie Pop Rock", this practically sums up their musical taste. It also amazes me to see beautiful girls playing musical instruments and rocking out loud to their hearts content :) completely mesmerizing. I could listen to their songs over and over again and never get tired of it lol

I should definitely see one of their concerts before I die (meet and greet please). Also, as we enjoy listening to our favorite musicians, don't ever forget to support them even in a very little way. Please buy their original CDs and promote the industry :) If you have the time, don't forget to check out this band, you won't regret it.

Promotions aside, SCANDAL is definitely a J-pop band you don't want to miss.

Goat in a Sheep's Clothing

What do I really want? What do I really love to do?

These are some of the questions that we teenagers in our developing period often ask ourselves. Questions that are pointed on how we develop our character and our interests.

Some of us may be dying for what is popular in the market as of the moment. What is fad. What the popular fashion trend is. Due to that, we tend to wear extravagant clothes and accessories (even on ordinary days).

We tend to base our likes and wants on people who surrounds us, even in our dismay. Though we have different tastes, we tend to share tastes with our peers for having this automatically grants acceptance in the group. We will be more sociable and people will be dying to be your friends. You'll be the talk of the town. Fun in a way huh? The question is, "Are you really happy?"

Being someone who loves to listen to J-pop music, I have quite experienced that too. Whenever I blast my speakers in the classroom to the tune of cutesy voices singing in Japaneses, I get weird looks all over the place and I hear mumbles saying how weird or how nerd am I. Very disheartening isn't it? I chose to stop listening to J-pop for quite a while, hoping to gain the acceptance that I long for. Months passed, there are no more mumblings and weird looks but there is something else. Something that has been empty deep inside of me while avoiding what I really like, what I really LOVE. And guess what? I made myself listen to a song, finished it, and after a while, it became twenty songs or so. A very refreshing feeling. I am now what to my LOVE. I even influenced some of my friends to listen to it to and they now sing with me loud in our classroom with words we can't understand. Haha.

Even though we want to be accepted by our friends, there are some characteristics and interests unique to ourselves that we should keep. We don't need to change them for others, especially if these are what gives us the smiles in our loneliest days. There are some things that we should change for others (good morals and right behavior), these are often taught to us by our good friends, parents and mentors. This area is different from them and therefore we need to keep for ourselves.

A true friend shall accept a friend whoever he or she may be, a friend can contribute to make a friend a better person by citing characteristics that are obviously bad and let him/her be the guiding light to give his/her friend a room for change and development. Don't be afraid to show what you want and what you like, no matter how weird or how nerdy it may be. Remember: there are others whom you share interests with, they are just like you, afraid to be themselves.

Make a stand, fortify your beliefs. Don't afraid to show who you really are. Don't be afraid to stand out. Make a difference.

Strawberries anyone?

Good day everyone! Today I'm gonna promote give a biased review on one of my favorite mangas of all time:

Ichigo 100% by Mizuki Kawashita

Ichigo 100% or Strawberry 100% is a manga about the school days of a young boy who aspires to be a successful director. He is a typical loser who is always end up in numerous embarrassing (often involves girls) until one day he decides to take a view at the school rooftop only to find a girl wearing *sigh* strawberry panties. He has then decided to start his conquest to find the mysterious girl. Intriguing huh?

Ecchi-ness aside, Ichigo 100% surprisingly succeeded in capturing my heart, not only with the characters' personalities but with the story as well.

Ichigo 100% is a typical harem manga with a loser hero who aspires for something high while he goes on with his lucky life surrounded by his love interests. There is an innocent nerd who aspires to be a writer, the campus crush, the aggressive-type girl whom he had a cat-dog relationship, and the little sister childhood friend. And of course, one of them is the strawberry panties girl and the girl whom he'll spend his life with forever (I guess).

I'm proud to say that this manga made me shed my tears and gave me a strong reasoning with love. Having experienced heartbreaks myself, *sob* I can relate myself on the way the characters portray their love stories and struggles as the plot moves on.

I shall never waste the opportunity to re-read the whole manga again whenever I had the chance. I want to relieve the suspense, the silent smiles, the laughter, and the very teenage feel I shared with this manga the first time I read this. If you love reading romances with a little bit of comedy, set in a high school theme, then this is definitely a must read for you. You'll never get tired of the characters with their personality developments, and with the beautiful girls this manga has in store for you :)

welcome to our XCUTION

As we all see, Bleach has already done a timeskip wherein Ichigo lost all of his powers after using the Final Getsuga Tensho on Aizen-sama (the most powerful being in the whole mangaverse) on the last arc. Sadly, the greatest technique Ichigo could ever strike Aizen has obviously no effect on him. So Urahara comes to the rescue! And oh well, enough with the flashbacks.

Bleach started the new arc with Ichigo having lost his Shinigami powers, while still saving the day from robbers, delinquents, thugs and such. It introduced a busty shopkeeper, an Aizen-look-alike, a lolita, and the human(?) version of Mr. Herriman.

In this arc we also reveal the true colors of Urahara, Isshin's past and hopefully, the Royal Guards that we've been hearing for ages. Sounds interesting enough? Yeah it seems so (until Kubo trolls again that is)

Along with these, I was also surprised when I saw the welcome to our XCUTION thingy.

Take a look at these.

Xcution Calling Card

Psyren Calling Card

Ageha calling Psyren

Ichigo calling Xcution

I hope that the similarities end here, it disturbs me to see a Psyren trademark in Bleach so yeah, let's get it over with and hope that something interesting happens in the next few chapters.

New on blogging :)
